ANNOUNCEMENTS

·         Rush Announcements:

o   Confirmed rooms for rush, except for interviews (notified in September)

o   Tues-Thurs at Sunset Vista Room, 6-10

o   Rush starts at 6:30, ends at 9:00

o   Debrief 9 – 10 everyday

·         National’s contacted us for rush itinerary

·         Confirmed for Banh Mi & Boba fundraiser on Nov 4

·         Kid’s Carnival (1-2 hour event)

o   Try contacting lab school because it’s on UCLA campus

o   Need to come up with logistic program on what we want to do

o   After school thing—set up in playground

o   Rich people kid’s around this year—would not need this

o   Talk to Devona for more school logistics

o   School cannot legally keep kids after school

·         Every board member should put out an idea for a program by the end of next week before finals

·         Retreat

o   Decide on location and book place to solidify retreat is happening before session C ends

o   Make foods list and estimated cost

o   Programming can be done with committee

·         CPR Classes

o   $80, but with 20 people or more it will be discounted to $60/person

o   Trying to get us certified in fall for us to be able to certify people in winter

o   AED does CPR through American Red Cross but is not as accepted in hospital settings—should go to AED’s event and we can invite them to our event

o   Maybe we can work alongside outside organizations to certify people and they might be able to give us discounts—we just need to provide location and customers (at least 25)

o   Research companies/organizations now to see if they want to come onto campus and work with us

o   DEADLINE FOR BWP: Week 1 or Week 2 to finalize

o   Will send follow up once school starts

o   Color run: trying to get a group to volunteer

Constitution

·         Board positions alphabetize so no rankings

·         In the grand scheme, should the amount of VPs be less or the same as the amount of Directors?

·         Should programming be changed to internal? YAS

·         VPR/VPI are biannual

·         Alumni Representative: graduate student

o   Should have a system to choose alumni rep every year

o   Run during elections

o   Should have an incentive

·         Signatories: President, Finance, Admin

o   Booking rooms should be under president

·         Nominations for new board for next school year in Winter

o   Elections 1st week of spring

o   Transition/shadow through entire spring quarter

o   Elections for VPI/VPR 3rd/4th week of the quarter after they cross

·         Priority to board members to run for VP positions—if no one wants to run, then anybody can run

·         To run for president, person should have at least been on board once

·         Impeachment board membersàPresident facilitates impeachment, if president is being impeached then Admin facilitates

·         Finance: every 2nd week; needs to give at least 3 weeks for actives to pay—keep weeks consistent

·         Founder’s Day: celebration to commemorate 31 founders

o   Event should be generalized, place in winter quarter

·         Leave retreat/banquet under Internal, but amend later

·         STAND should not be set in constitution
